What changes for your ministry

Your numbers today, next to what the same donors and visitors can be expected to do in a first full year on Site Stacker. This table follows the scenario and settings below.

MeasureTodayFirst full year on Site Stacker

Your giving today

The last 12 months from your donor database.

Online checkout

Conversion is the share of people who start an online gift and finish it. Recurring auto-charges never pass through checkout, so this only affects one-time gifts and new recurring sign-ups.

How confident to be

Not every recovered checkout is new money. Some people come back later, call the office, or mail a check. These settings decide how much of the improvement counts.

10%
At 10%, only one in ten people the old checkout lost is counted as a gift that would never have happened otherwise.
10%
Suggested amounts in the giving flow help donors choose a larger gift. If your average gift is already strong, keep this modest.
10%
5%
The $275 default reflects what Site Stacker partners see once a general fund option is offered: about a third of those donors choose a monthly gift near $50, and the rest give one-time gifts averaging $115.

Missionaries (optional)

For sending organizations. Missionary support flows through the ministry, but only the administrative fee funds operations, so that is what counts toward return. Leave these blank to leave them out.

Recruiting
Retention

Staff time

Time spent on data entry for online giving, records, and manual task processing. Automated workflows give much of it back.

How these numbers are built

  • One-time gifts online. Recurring gift count is recurring giving divided by the average recurring gift. The remaining gifts are one-time; offline gifts are subtracted to estimate online one-time gifts.
  • Checkout recovery. If 18% of started gifts finish today and 81% finish on Site Stacker, the same traffic produces 4.5 times as many completed gifts. Only the share set under “How confident to be” is counted.
  • Larger one-time gifts. The lift is applied to all online one-time giving, including recovered gifts.
  • New recurring donors. Sign-ups default to the number of recurring donors who stopped giving this year, the volume needed just to hold steady. Recovered sign-ups give at your current monthly average per donor, count for half of their first year, and then follow your retention rate.
  • Recurring donors kept. Site Stacker updates expired and replaced cards automatically. Kept donors count for half of the year they would have lapsed, then follow your retention rate. If your current system already updates cards automatically, set this to zero.
  • General fund. Site Stacker can offer a general fund gift alongside every designated gift. Undesignated dollars carry the operating costs that make every program possible.
  • Missionaries. Added and kept missionaries count at their yearly support times the administrative fee. Each year’s group keeps serving, so the value builds year over year.
  • Staff time. Administrative staff times salary times the drop in time spent on manual tasks. Hours assume 2,080 working hours a year.
  • Site Stacker cost. Each year counts twelve months of the subscription. One-time costs land in year one.
  • Return per dollar. Value divided by Site Stacker cost, for year one and for three years. Net value subtracts that cost.
